Good News! Upgrades Could Extend to All Pasco Libraries

In November of this year, Pasco county voters will have the option to decide on a referendum that could dedicate as much as $9 million to library upgrades for all libraries within Pasco County. This bond referendum was proposed with help and support from my Land O' Lakes Library LEED project, and especially the YouTube video, newspaper article, and news report published on the topic, which aided in providing facts and figures that eventually persuaded the County Commissioner to include this budget proposal.
Should this plan succeed, it would cause a mere increase of $1.71 in citizen's annual tax payments, which is a small price to pay for the incredible possibilities for environmental improvements which this money can be dedicated towards. Furthermore, this broadens my project by enabling it to extend far beyond the Land O' Lakes Library alone, and by allowing me to branch off into other elements of efficiency, like gardening, that I had not previously considered.
Of course, donations in the meantime (since the decision won't be made until November) are highly appreciated! You can find my GoFundMe here. With summer rapidly approaching, the first $1,000 will go towards installing UV tinting on the floor-to-ceiling windows, a basic and absolutely essential improvement, especially when it comes to Florida's hot weather.
As of now, signs have been posted in the library encouraging library patrons to learn more about my project and to donate to the cause, and I have plans to make a hanging art installation to increase awareness of environmental issues later in the year. Ultimately, however, the fact that this project has come so far so quickly (from a goal of $100,000 to the possibility of $9 million!) is absolutely amazing, and I could not have done it without the support of the library and county staff. If you'd like to learn more about the vote, here is an article detailing it, and thanks to everyone so far who has helped me to signal boost this!
